Reported Sexual Assault of a Minor Being Investigated

An alleged sexual assault of an 11year old girl is being investigated by Barrington police.

Police are saying the assault occurred near the bike path on the Barrington/East Providence line and took place in early October.

The Police believe the victim knows the alleged perpetrator and that the incident was not random although no arrests have been maid and the investigation is on going.

The suspect is expected to be charged with felony charges of child molestation.
