Rhode Island Gets New Writing Classes for Students of All Ages Grub Street comes to Providence!
Creative writing classes in Rhode Island

School One, a small, independent high school in Providence, announces new creative writing classes in fiction, memoir, screen writing and micro fiction at their East Side location.
This September when students start back to school, their parents (and grandparents) start as well. School One hosts classes for adults in fiction, life writing, screenwriting.
School One, a small progressive high school in Providence has long had a reputation as an arts school but last year they noticed there were few opportunities for students to develop and share their writing. They teamed up with local well known literary group Goat Hill (Ann Hood, Taylor Polites and Hester Kaplan) and launched Write Rhode Island, a short fiction competition for RI students. Write Rhode Island presents prizes and awards and publishes an anthology, the only statewide print magazine dedicated to the fiction writing of RI students.
