RI Nurse Teacher Of The Year Is From Barrington High

The Rhode Island Certified Nurse Teacher Association named Barrington's Denise Flores as its Nurse Teacher of the Year.

BARRINGTON, RI —Barrington High School's Denise Flores has been honored as the Rhode Island School Nurse Teacher of the Year. Barrington High principal Jim Callahan announced the award from the RI School Nurse Teacher Association.

"Mrs. Flores works hard to make sure our students remain healthy so they are able to be at school each day," Callahan wrote in the announcement. "As our district's nurse coordinator, she is involved in various district activities that promote the health and well-being of the children of Barrington. Along with her Barrington duties, she is also on the Board of the RI School Nurse
Teacher Association, impacting children throughout the state."
