Nov. 11 was Veterans Day, when we honor men and women who have served in the military. This year, it fell on a Saturday. So, many communities observed the holiday on Friday, while the federal government observes Veterans Day on Saturday.
The state, however, observes the holiday on Monday. Therefore, state offices are closed on Nov. 13.
