Anthony R. "Tony" Roberto Sr., 76, Formerly Of Coventry

Mr. Roberto died July 7. His funeral is Oct. 14.

COVENTRY, RI— Anthony R. "Tony" Roberto Sr., 76, of Summerfield, Florida, and formerly of Coventry, died July 7. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guisuppe and Guisippina (Famiglietti) Roberto. He was the husband of Carolyn J. Roberto. Besides his widow, he leaves six children: Anthony R. Roberto, Jr., and his wife, Rosemary; David J. Roberto and his wife, Rhonda; Kristen M. Marshall and her husband Roger; Bethany T. Stravato and her husband Jim; Todd R. Matheny and his wife, Lori, and Tracey A. Weston and her husband Todd. He also leaves a brother, Ronald Roberto and his wife, Linda; 9 grandchildren; Katelyn Marshall-Hannon; Andrew Roberto (Aziza); Averill Roberto; Amber Marshall; Allison Roberto; A..J. Stravato; Christina Noonan; Arianna Stravato and Julianna Weston and 5 Great Grandchildren: Ellason; Irelynn; Jamisyn; Ava and Cyrus. He was predeceased by another brother, Richard Roberto (surviving wife Gloria).

Roberto worked for Jay Packaging in Rhode Island where he was Manufacturing Manager and Director of Customer Service.

In Florida, he volunteered with many St Teresa's Catholic Church's Social Services, where he was involved in several ministries and with The Knights of Columbus. Tony led the local "Coats for Kids" drive donating coats to local children in need. He was especially proud of his induction as a Fourth Degree Knight in 2015.

Tony's real passion remained his family. As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he and the love of his life, Carolyn, loved to travel, play golf and spend time with his family and friends.

A Service of Interment will be held at St Ann's Cemetery Chapel, October 14 @ 11:00am, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Vesuvio's, 1401 Park Avenue, Cranston.
