Coventry Man Killed In New Hampshire Snowboarding Accident

Brent Narkawicz was snowboarding with a friend when he fell off the edge of a trail and hit a tree, Lincoln police said.

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man was killed at New Hampshire's Loon Mountain Ski Resort over the weekend, Lincoln police said. Brent Narkawicz was a Coventry resident.

According to police, Narkawicz was snowboarding with a friend on Sunday when he fell near the edge of a trail and hit a tree. His friend saw him fall and called for an ambulance. Narkawicz was wearing a helmet when he fell, and his death was deemed accidental. No other factors are believed to have been involved in causing the fall, police said.

Loon Mountain's President, Jay Scambio, offered his condolences to the victim's family.
