Coventry Middle School Students Relocated For Gas Repairs
Students were moved to the high school after National Grid workers said they needed to dig to replace a gas meter.

COVENTRY, RI — Students at Coventry's Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School were taken to the high school Thursday afternoon out of an abundance of caution, school officials said. Dismissal will be at Coventry High School.
Parents and guardians were asked not to come pick up their child before 2 p.m. Student pickup will be near the new cafe, at the flag pole. Buses will bring students home at the regular time after 2:35 p.m. dismissal.
School administrators decided to move the students out of the building after National Grid was required to dig to replace an old gas meter. Coventry police reported "a small of propane or natural gas" in the area.
