Coventry Police Make Arrest In Connection With Stolen Vehicle

COVENTRY, RI — A man was arrested early Thursday morning after Coventry police found a stolen vehicle abandoned on New London Turnpike, still running. Michael Lafferiere is facing several charges as well as an outstanding bench warrant.

According to police, the vehicle was found near a business around 1:40 a.m. Using surveillance video, officers were able to find Lafferiere nearby. He was arrested and scheduled to be arraigned later in the day on Thursday on several unnamed charges, as well as an outstanding bench warrant from Third Division District Court.
