Coventry Public Works Collecting Christmas Trees At The Curb

COVENTRY, RI — For holiday stragglers who still have their Christmas trees up, Coventry has an easy way to dispose of them. The town will collect trees at the curb this week.

Collection is on a regular schedule this week, the public works department said. Live trees can be placed directly on the curb for pickup as long as they are completely free of wraps or decorations.

"Please be patient, we will collect them as soon as possible," the department said.

Those who live in the more rural parts of the town are encouraged to compost their live trees.
