COVENTRY, RI – Does your Thanksgiving tradition include a fried turkey? If so, the Coventry Public Works Department wants you to save the grease for them and avoid the urge of pouring it down the drown.

Far too often, people have a habit of simply pouring the fat down their sinks or flushing it down the toilet, causing congealed buildups in their pipes and the nation's sewer systems.

Representatives with the Coventry Public Works Dept. say they will gladly accept the leftover turkey grease for free at their transfer station.
