Coventry Town Hall Reopening Aug. 11
Residents are asked to conduct town hall business by mail or drop box as much as possible.
COVENTRY, RI — After closing for several months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Coventry's Town Hall will reopen on Tuesday.
Residents are strongly encouraged to conduct town hall business by mail or drop box whenever possible. Those who must conduct their business in person are asked to follow these safety regulations:
- All visitors must check in with the receptionist.
- Masks must be worn.
- Temperature checks will be conducted. Anyone with a fever over 100.4 degrees will be turned away.
- The receptionist will take down the person's information for contact tracing purposes, at which point the visitor is asked to use hand sanitizer.
- Social distancing must be maintained. Footprints are on the floor to indicate where to stand.
- After completing their business, the visitor is asked to leave immediately, using teh door marked "exit" behind the receptionist.
The facility will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone paying their tax bill in person is asked to have a check made out to "Coventry Tax Collector" with the amount due, before they enter the town hall if possible.
