Coventry Weather: What To Know For Feb. 9 Snow
Southern New England is bracing for yet another round of measurable snowfall, less than two days after the last storm.

COVENTRY, RI — Yet another round of snow is headed to southern New England Tuesday, bringing several more inches of snow to an already white-blanketed Rhode Island. Residents hardly had a moment to catch their breath after the last storm, which brought several inches of accumulation to the state.
Coventry does not have a parking ban in place at this time. Trash collection continued as scheduled Monday and Tuesday morning, and the Department of Public Works asked residents to remove their carts from the curb as soon as possible after collection in anticipation of Tuesday's snow.
Residents are also reminded that Coventry has a town ordinance that forbids pushing snow from driveways into the street. Doing so causes slippery areas, drainage problems, ruts or bumps of frozen snow and more, that can lead to a crash, the Department of Public Works said.

"It is a safety hazard as these patches of snow placed by residents can freeze and pose concerns for motorists," the department said. "In addition, extra snow placed on the roadways makes it more difficult for the plows to clear the roadway, especially after it has been driven over and frozen solid."
Much of Rhode Island will see the first snowflakes fall between 10 a.m. and noon, with the onset time a little earlier in the northwest corner of the state and a little later along the southern shore. A winter storm advisory is in place for the northern half of the state through Tuesday evening. The snow is expected to taper off between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., with expected accumulations between three and four inches for much of the state.
