Traffic Alert: Downed Pole Closes Rte. 3 In West Warwick
Thursday's heavy winds and rain knocked down a utility pole, completely closing the road.
WEST WARWICK, R.I. -- Route 3 in West Warwick is completely closed down Thursday afternoon after high winds and heavy rain knocked down a utility pole near the intersection with New London Turnpike.
According to West Warwick Police, all of Tiogue Avenue and New London Turnpike is impassable. National Grid crews are responding to the scene. It is not known at this time when the road will reopen.
