Fatal Crash On I-95, Victims Identified: RI State Police

WEST GREENWICH, RI—State police report a Franklin, Mass., man has died and his passenger was injured in Friday night's fatal crash on Interstate 95 near exit 5.

Igor Nadtochij, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene. Kimora Hodge, 35, also of Franklin, went to Rhode Island Hospital. Her injuries are described as not life-threatening.

According to Laura Meade Kirk, the accident happened around 8:40 p.m. about two miles north of exit 3. Nadtochij, driving south on I-95, lost control of his car, went off the road, came back on the road, hit a car, rolled over and burst into flames. Both Nadtochij and Hodge were thrown from the car.

The other driver, Frederick Steindler, 40, of New York, N.Y., was not hurt.

State police are still investigating.
