February Events At The Coventry Library
Here's what's happening at the Coventry Public Library this February.
COVENTRY, RI — The coming month will be a busy one at the Coventry Public Library. From babysitter training to storytime, check out what's on the calendar for February.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, the library will host a babysitter training class, presented by the American Red Cross. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to kids ages 11 to 16. Registration opens on Jan. 27, class is limited to 10 people. The cost is $90 per person, which covers the cost of the class and the handbook. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
On Feb. 12, the library will hold a family evening storytime beginning at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy Valentine's Day crafts, stories, fingerplays and other activities. Children will make a special craft to take home. Kids are welcome to wear pajamas and slippers, and registration is not required.

Bwana Iguana Reptile Show will come on Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Ray Ward will have a variety of live reptiles and amphibians. No registration required.
During February school vacation week, the library will show a free movie on Feb. 21 at 1:00 p.m. The movie “Snowtime!” (Rated PG) will be shown. Free popcorn and drinks. Registration is not required.

On Feb. 27, the library will hold a Minecraft gaming night for kids in first through fifth grade. Kids can sign up to play at 4:30, 5:30 or 6:30 p.m. Call 401-822-9102 to register, as space is limited.
