Updated Forecast: High Wind Warning and Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory and a high wind warning for the entire state.

COVENTRY, RI—The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a winter weather advisory for much of the state to last into Monday. In Woonsocket, the advisory expires at 5 a.m., but in Newport, it will continue until 1 p.m.
Meanwhile, there is a high wind warning going into effect from 5 a.m. Monday for the entire state and the coast, including Bristol, Narragansett and Newport.

Overnight, expect snow, mainly before 2 a.m. Low around 28. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
On Monday, the forecast calls for a chance of snow, mainly before 10 a.m. under cloudy skies, with a high near 33. Breezy, with a northwest wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Forecast for western Rhode Island (Coventry)
Tonight, look for snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 10 p.m., followed by snow and freezing drizzle in areas between 10 p.m. and midnight, then a chance of snow after midnight. Low around 29. East wind 6 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

On Monday, expect a chance of snow, mainly before 9 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Breezy, with a northwest wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Forecast for the Coast (Narragansett & Newport)
Expect rain and snow before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of snow after 3 a.m. Low around 32. East wind 9 to 18 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
On Monday, the forecast calls for a slight chance of snow before 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Windy, with a northwest wind 24 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
