Fun Things To Do In Coventry This February Vacation
Looking for something to do while the kids are home from school?
COVENTRY, RI — Looking for something fun to do with the kids during the upcoming February vacation? The town's Department of Parks and Recreation has you covered. Check out these fun events coming up throughout the month of February.
- Valentine's Letters For Veterans: Feb. 8
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center
- Come design and write out a Valentine's Day card for a veteran or armed service member. Kids can also create a "happy heart" craft to take home for a friend, family member or loved one. Refreshments will be served

- Coventry Sports League Registration Fair: Feb. 16
- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center
- Ask questions and register for the upcoming sports season. girls softball, little league, youth lacrosse, soccer and the Babe Ruth League will all be in attendance. Rain date: Feb. 22.

- Mad Science Awesome Activity Week: Feb. 18-21
- Kids can be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. Participants will play games, make arts and crafts, build with Legos and more.
- Kids in kindergarten through second grade will participate in "Mad Science Investigates" from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while kids in grades three through five will take part in "Eureka: The Inventors Week" from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: $85 for residents, $105 for non-residents. Registration information is available online.
- Viking Sports: Feb. 18-21
- The Brookline, Massachusetts-based sports league is holding a variety of camp options for Coventry kids in grades five through eight, for just one day or most of school vacation week. Prices and more information are available on the town's website.
