January Events Coming Up At The Coventry Public Library
Check out these fun events for kids of all ages coming up at the Coventry Public Library.
COVENTRY, RI — With outdoor play stifled by cold weather and early sunsets, parents and kids are no doubt looking for fun ways to stay occupied during the long winter months. Here's a look at fun kids events coming up at the Coventry Public Library.
On Jan. 6, Coventry residents can register for winter story programs by calling the youth services department at 401-822-9102. Registration for non-residents opens the next day. Space is limited, and the schedule is as follows:
- Mondays: Rock and Read, 10 a.m., ages birth to 23 months
- Wednesdays: Tales For Twos, 10 a.m.
- Thursdays and Fridays: Storytime for ages three to eight years old, 10 a.m.
On Jan. 8, the library will host a robot-themed family storytime at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy robot stories and activities, including participants making a robot ceramic bank. No registration is required and kids are welcome to attend in pajamas and slippers.

The library will hold a Minecraft gaming night for kids in grades one through five on Jan. 30. Kids can register to play at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Space is limited; call 401-822-9102 to register.
