Job Lot's 'Buy, Give, Get' Program Collects 30,000 Coats
The coats will be distributed to veterans in need throughout New England, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Customers at Ocean State Job Lot stores throughout the region donated more than 30,000 coats this holiday season, which will be distributed to veterans in New England, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The store's "Buy, Give, Get" program has grown from a small donation drive to a region-wide program.
During November and December, customers in each of Job Lot's 139 stores had the opportunity to buy a coat for $40, then donate it back to the store to be given to a veteran in need. In return, customers received a $40 "crazy deal" gift card for Job Lot stores.
"What started out as a 600-coat test just a few years back has blossomed into one of the largest programs of its kind serving veterans in need across the region," said David Sarlitto, the executive director of Job Lots's charitable foundation. "This program is a true testament to the generosity and patriotism of our customers."
