Latest RI Forecast: We're In The Deep Freeze Into Next Week

The sun is supposed to shine on Thursday, but it won't warm anything up. The high temperature is expected to hover around 13.

COVENTRY, RI — Maybe it will feel warmer in a week, even though the temperature next Wednesday is only supposed to rebound to 26 degrees. Of course, that's still freezing. But 26 is better than 13, 15, 16, 18 and 19. Those numbers are the high temperatures the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass., is predicting for this week. The lows are a lot worse. Tomorrow, even with sunny skies, the high is barely into the double digits. Plus, wind chills will make it feel more than minus 10. A Northwest wind will be blowing 9 to 13 mph, and gusts could pick up as high as 23 mph.
