COVENTRY, RI — The Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School in Coventry was put in a lockdown Wednesday morning after reports about suspicious sounds in woods near the school building. According to the principal's office, the reports were unfounded. Police responded and swept the area. Nothing was found. The lockdown was lifted after police and school officials determined there was no threat to the children or the staff. Parents were notified about the situation by e-mail.
