Massachusetts Man Killed In Crash On I-95 South
The victim was identified as Russell Nauta, 68, of Wesport.
WEST GREENWICH, RI — A Westport, Massachusetts man was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 South in West Greenwich Friday morning. The victim, 68-year-old Russell Nauta, was pronounced dead at Kent County Hospital.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. south of Weaver Hill Road. According to Rhode Island State Police, a tow truck was pulled over in the breakdown lane, loading a disabled vehicle. Nauta, who was driving a grey Toyota SUV, crashed into the parked truck.
Neither the tow truck driver nor the driver of the disabled vehicle were injured, police said, and no lane restrictions were in place in the area.
