Obituary: Cornelius D. O'Shea, 78

Cornelius D. O’Shea, 78, of Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. He was the son of the late Cornelius D. and Florence M. (Jones) O’Shea.

Mr. O’Shea worked as an electrician for C.O. Hoffacker Co. for seventeen years until his retirement. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and also served as a teacher at the Naval War College in Newport, RI during that time.

He is survived by two children; Dorothy J. O’Shea and Bradley N. O’Shea and his wife Anabella, two brothers; Kenneth O’Shea and Kevin O’Shea, two granddaughters; Elizabeth and MacKenzie Almeida, and his former wife; Margaret O’Shea. He was predeceased by his former wife; Joanne Godfrey and his sister Evelyn F. O’Shea.

A funeral service will be held at a date and time to be announced from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI with a Memorial Mass to follow at St. John and Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated.
