Obituary: Genevieve Pacheco, 93

Genevieve Pacheco, 93, died December 31, 2015 at Riverview Health Care. She was the wife of the late Manuel Pacheco.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Vera (Souza) Azevedo. She worked as a carder and packer for Speidel Corporation for 16 years, retiring in 1987. She is survived by her daughters; Nancy A. Sullivan and her husband Daniel of Exeter, Diane M. Wallace and her late husband Bruce, Elizabeth J. Pacheco and her companion David Arey and her son William M. Pacheco and his wife Cynthia, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Herbert Azevedo and the late Frank Azevedo.

Her funeral will begin on Monday at 10am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am in St.Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
