Support Summit Church at Papa Gino's Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    POSTPONED: Organic Skincare: At 7 p.m. this evening, New England Farm and Artist (NEFA), (1112 Main Street), is offering an Organic and Chemical Free Skincare Workshop! Learn how to make organic and safe skincare products with Ashley Tucker, whose "Earth to Skin" line will be carried at NEFA. Workshop is $20 per person, which includes all materials. To register, click here to RSVP via Facebook, email coordinator@farmandartist.com, call Ellen at 744-1702 or simply drop by the store! This event has been postponed until a new date is determined.

    Summit Church Fundraiser: Tonight from 4-9 p.m., Summit Baptist Church will hold a fundraiser at Papa Gino's in Coventry to benefit its community and charitable programs and events. The Church will earn 20% of all sales made when customers mention the Summit Fundraiser when placing their order (not afterwards!).

    Elks Fall Pitch Card League: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich) will host its Fall Pitch (Hi-Lo-Jack) Card League tonight and each Thursday at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person per week. All adults welcome. At the end of the season, prizes will be handed out at an Awards Dinner. For more information, call Denise at 226-5053.

    The HUNT at CHS: Today is the last day for Coventry High School juniors and seniors to purchase tickets for The HUNT 2013 during all lunches. The event will take place Oct. 5 from 6 -10 p.m. Cost is $32.00 for a team of four. To purchase tickets, each team member must have a signed permission slips, which may be obtained from Mr. Leonard, Mrs. Kelly or Mrs. Tracy. 

    Plan Ahead - Wine Tasting with LVKC: Tomorrow night, Sept. 20, the Literacy Volunteers of Kent County (LVKC) will host a wine-tasting fundraiser at Shelalara Vineyards and Winery (21-B Reservoir Road). The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. and will feature wine, hors d'oeuvres, music and a silent auction. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
