Plane Makes Emergency Landing On I-95 In West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, RI — A small plane has made an emergency landing on the northbound side of I-95 in West Greenwich, according to reports on social media. The Rockwell Commander 112 four-seated, single-engine plane made the landing on the Interstate around 5 p.m. Saturday. Rhode Island State Police are responding to the area and warning of possible traffic delays.

The plane is owned by American Dream Aviation LLC of Woodhaven, New York, according to FlightAware.com, and has been flying since 1975. The company has owned the plane since 2013. Its certification expires in February, according to the FAA.

Two passengers were not injured, according to WPRI.com.
