Rhode Island Weather Forecast: Memorial Day Rain Timeline

Plan you morning carefully - here's when the rain is expected to come where you are.

We know many of you are enjoying some R&R during the holiday weekend, so we'll get right to it. The National Weather Service has released its estimated timeline for rain Monday, so you can plan for your local parade or home BBQ. It won't be an all-day washout.

The rain is coming from the west, starting at about 8 a.m. in the Coventry area and 9 a.m. in the Providence area. Rain will start at 10 a.m. east of that to the coast, and closer to noon farther out on the Cape.

Here's the estimated timeline for rain tomorrow:

Even after the rain passes in several hours, it will remain unseasonably cool in the low 50s. It will feel even colder than that with double-digit wind gusts.

The temperatures will take a turn for the better after the holiday. Tuesday will remain cool and cloudy, but Wednesday will see temperatures in the mid-70s (and scattered thunderstorms.) Thursday will be the best of the bunch, staying warm and mostly sunny.
