RI Children's Dentistry Holds Summer Reading Challenge
Elementary school students have the chance to win $500 for their school or other fun prizes.
COVENTRY, RI — Rhode Island Children's Dentistry and Gordon Orthodontics is again holding a summer reading challenge for elementary school students. The winner will win $500 for their school's reading program.
Each year, the practice encourages patients to a reading challenge, with a variety of fun practices at stake. This year's challenge runs from June 19 to Sept. 13.
Along with the cash reward, prizes include a pizza or ice cream party for the top classroom and a Kindle Fire and recognition on the practice's website for each town's top student.

All reading logs must be returned to schools by Sept. 6, and should be returned to the dentist by Sept. 13. Parents must sign reading logs for them to be eligible.
One to 300 pages count as one book, while 300 to 600 pages count as two.
