RI State Police Seize 15 Pounds Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

WEST WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island State Police seized approximately 15 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on I-95 North early Wednesday morning.

Yong Zhuang Chen, 49, of West Warwick, was pulled over in West Greenwich just before 3 a.m. When troopers searched the vehicle, they found around 15 pounds of marijuana and a knife about 8.5 inches long.

Chen was charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule one controlled substance, possession of more than five kilograms of marijuana and posession of a knife during the commission of a crime. He was arraigned at Kent County District Court and ordered held without bail.
