COVENTRY, RI — Hillary Lima will be Coventry's new District 4 Town Councilor, following Tuesday's special election.

The outcome of the election was pretty much a foregone conclusion, since Lima was the only name on the ballot. Even though she was unopposed, the election had to be held, per state election laws.

Just 66 voted in the election, the Coventry Board of Canvassers reported, 65 of which voted for Lima. The other vote was a write-in, cast for "John Doe."
