Man Who Left Kent Hospital Found Safe: Police

WARWICK, RI — A man who went missing form Kent County Hospital on Tuesday night was found safe Wednesday afternoon, Warwick police said. Richard Joseph Malis, 69, was found in the woods near the Community College of Rhode Island and Kent Hospital.

According to police, Malis was found around 1:30 p.m. He was in good condition and was brought back to the hospital to be evaluated.

Malis, who suffers from dementia, went missing from the hospital around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
