'Toys for Tots' Collection Celebration Today (and 4 More Things)

Breakfast in November: This morning from 7:30-9 a.m., the Coventry Senior Center will hold its November Breakfast for the public. For $3, guests will enjoy eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, pancakes or English muffin, with juice, coffee and tea. All are welcome!

Toys for Tots Collection Celebration: Today from 1-4 p.m., Centreville Bank, located at 777 Tiogue Avenue in Coventry, will host a Toys for Tots Collection Celebration to benefit local children in need. Residents may bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots in memory of local Marine Sgt. Brian R. St. Germain of Warwick who died April 2, 2006 serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom. Apart from toy donations, guests can enjoy hot cocoa, pastries, music from Cat Country 98.1 and a visit from Santa!
Canceled - CCFD Court Hearing: Today's Central Coventry Fire District hearing, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at Kent County Superior Court in Warwick, has been canceled. Check back with Coventry Patch for future court dates.

CPD Seeks Few Good Men/Women: The Coventry Police Department has opened the application process for a police officer eligibility list. Applicants who successfully complete the process will be added to a list of candidates eligible to attend the training academy and be considered for police officer positions within the Department as they become available. Applications may be obtained at CPD, Town Hall or by clicking here, and must be returned with all required documents and $20 testing fee by 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2013. Click here for complete details, application and documents.
Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales today and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
