'You Are So Beautiful': RI Man Melts Hearts With Song For Wife
Patrick Maloney Jr. quietly sang the song to his wife, who suffers from dementia, in a video posted to "Quarantine Karaoke."
WARWICK, RI — With coronavirus making in-person events and gatherings a thing of the past for the time being, people around the globe are coming together online to share their stories and spread joy in a time often filled with isolation and anxiety. One such group, called "Quarantine Karaoke," is a collection of singing videos. Patrick Maloney Jr., a Warwick resident, melted hearts and garnered thousands of likes and shares with his video, a tribute to his wife.
In the video, Maloney gently croons "You Are So Beautiful To Me" to his wife Susan as she sits on his lap. Maloney said he loves to sing to Susan, who suffers from dementia, and sometimes she will sing along.
Patrick and Susan met in high school and started dating when they were 15 years old. Three years ago, she was diagnosed with dementia.

"Karaoke at my local bar has helped me get through the last 3 years," he wrote in the description of the video. "I hope to have the guts to sing here live. In the meantime, I'll enjoy your songs."
