Cumberland Teen Arrested In Connection With Providence Homicide

LINCOLN, RI — A Cumberland woman was arrested Friday morning by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and charged in connection with an unnamed homicide.

Yazmin Rivera, 19, of 34 Middle Street was taken into custody Friday at 7:20 a.m. on the basis of arrest warrants and police affidavits out of Providence and Pawtucket.

Rivera was wanted by the Providence Police Department on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder. She was also wanted by the Pawtucket Police Department for manufacturing or possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, according to a media release from the state police.

Rivera was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Providence Police Department and Pawtucket Police Department.
