1 Seriously Injured Following Fire In East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — One man is suffering from serious burns following a fire that broke out on Pine Street in East Providence Tuesday morning, reported WPRI.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out at approximately 11:30 a.m. in a two-car garage and quickly spread to three neighboring structures.

According to East Providence Fire Chief Glenn Quick, heavy wind and the close proximity of nearby homes caused the flames to spread.

The name of the man who was injured has not yet been released. His condition is unknown at this time.

Mutual aid was provided by the Barrington, Seekonk, Pawtucket, and Providence Fire Departments.
