Aldersbridge Communities announces three new distinguished members have been elected to its Board of Trustees.
Aldersbridge Communities (formerly United Methodist Elder Care), a nonprofit provider of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living and independent living services for seniors with locations throughout Rhode Island, announces three new members have been elected to its Board of Trustees.

Susan Cerrone Abely joins the Aldersbridge Communities Board as trustee. Now retired, she is the former vice president/chief information officer at CharterCARE Health Partners (Providence, R.I.). Previously, she served as vice president/chief information officer at Roger Williams Medical Center (Providence) and as chief information officer of East Boston Neighborhood Health Centers from 1996 to 2000. Abely received her master of science degree in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge) and her bachelor of science degree in engineering from Tufts University (Boston). She is a resident of Wrentham, Mass.

Jodi L. Glass, Au.D., joins the Aldersbridge Communities Board as trustee. Since 1978, she has served as a doctor of audiology at Glass Audio in Providence, R.I. In 2014, she became the first audiologist in the U.S. certified in “Music & Memory,” a program bringing music into the lives of those living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or physical impairments. Dr. Glass founded and developed “Dorothy’s House” collaborative housing for LGBTQ seniors in Providence, and Grace Notes Singers of Rhode Island. Dr. Glass also served on the advisory board for SAGE/RI, an organization providing services and advocacy for LGBTQ seniors from 2012-2014. She received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, her master’s degree from Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY), and her doctorate of audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences (Mesa, AZ). She resides in Providence, R.I.
Elizabeth H. Roberts

Elizabeth H. Roberts joins the Aldersbridge Communities Board as trustee. She is immediate past secretary of Health and Human Services for Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo and is an independent healthcare consultant. Previously, she served as Lieutenant Governor of the State of Rhode Island and oversaw the implementation of the Affordable Care Act for Governor Lincoln Chafee. She also was chair of the Long Term Care Coordinating Council, working to improve services to the elderly and disabled. During her 10 years in state legislature, she was vice chair of Finance and chair of the Health Committee. Ms. Roberts received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and earned an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University. She resides in Cranston, R.I.
