Amazon Passes On RI For HQ2
Only one New England site - Boston - made the top 20 list.

None of the seven sites Rhode Island pitches for Amazon's new headquarters made the company's list of the 20 finalists. Rhode Island had offered pitches from East Providence, North Kingstown, Pawtucket-Central Falls, Providence, Richmond, Warwick, and Woonsocket.
The list, released by the e-commerce and tech giant Thursday morning, included one New England city - Boston. Boston's bid is said by many to be among the favorites for Amazon HQ2, which promises about 50,000 new workers and $5 billion.
