Children's Museum Ready for Halloween
The museum, in Providence's Jewelry District, is offering two Halloween-themed programs for the youngsters.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Across the bridge, the Providence Children's Museum has planned some Halloween events for the family.
Creepy Creatures
Saturday, Oct. 29 • Noon - 2 p.m.

Dave Marchetti, of Animal Experiences, introduces the youngsters to fun facts about lizards, snakes and frogs. The children are invited to come wearing their Halloween costumes, and the museum promised these "captivating critters" will prove "prickly, hairy but not too scary."

Sunday, Oct. 30 • 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The whole family can dress up for Halloween and join a scavenger hunt and other fun and educational games.
- Step into the mad science lab to experiment with slippery slime, mess around with magical mixtures, and send creepy creatures careening through howling air tubes.
- Try imaginative arts and “witch crafts” – inscribe intriguing messages in invisible ink, make mixed-up monsters, and fashion frightening fingerprint creatures.
- Play ghoulish games galore – including ghost “boo-wling” and a bat toss – and design and decorate a dragon’s lair.
- Settle in for spooky storytime to hear haunted Halloween tales.
Free for members. Museum admission is $9 per person.
