City of East Providence Announces Annual Memorial Day Parade

The parade will take off from the Looff Carousel at 9 a.m.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The City of East Providence and American Legion Riverside Post 10 have teamed up to host the 2021 Memorial Day Parade in honor of deceased veterans.

The parade's vehicle procession, which will line up at the Looff Carousel 8:30 a.m. and begin at 9 a.m., will follow the usual route and stop at all of the city's war memorials. The vehicles will then return to Riverside and join the marchers, who will line up at the carousel at 10:30 a.m., at Bullocks Point and Lincoln Avenue.

“It gives me great honor and pleasure to be able to work with the American Legion on hosting our annual Memorial Day Parade – honoring and mourning our military personnel who have died in the line of duty while serving in the United States Armed Forces is so important to our administration, our community and the families and loved ones of our veterans,” said East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva in a statement.
