City Of East Providence Launches 2021 Summer Meals Program

Free meals will be available for all children under the age of 18 from June 28 to August 27.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The City of East Providence Recreation Department has launched its 2021 Summer Meals Program, providing free meals to local children during the summer months.

This summer, free meals will be available for all children enrolled in the Pierce Field day camp, which will take place from Monday, June 28 to Friday, August 6. There will also be a Summer Meals Kickoff event on Saturday, June 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pierce Field, giving families an opportunity to learn about the program.

This summer, meals will be served to all children under the age of 18 at the following locations:

George Lima Memorial Park:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 11:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • June 28 – August 6
