Crews Resume Water Search For Missing Man In East Providence
The search began on Saturday afternoon following reports that the man had fallen in the water.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Rescue crews have resumed their search for a missing man who is believed to have fallen in the water near the East Providence Yacht Club and the I-195 Washington Bridge underpass, said the East Providence Fire Department in a Facebook post Monday morning.
Police and fire officials responded to the area on Saturday afternoon following reports that the man was last seen walking near the waterline and had fallen in.
Crews searched for several hours and eventually suspended the search until Sunday, when the search was resumed with a concentration on the Providence River and river banks, but were unable to locate the man.

After debating whether or not to continue the search, Fire officials announced that it would resume at 9 a.m. Monday.
The name of the missing man has not been released.
