East Providence City Hall To Turn Blue For Colon Cancer Awareness
The public will be asked to use the flashlights on their cell phones to turn the building blue.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A gathering for colon cancer awareness will take place Thursday night at East Providence City Hall, at which the crowd will be asked to use the flashlights on their cell phones to turn the building blue.
The event, being held by Brown Medicine Endoscopy Center and the City of East Providence, will take place outdoors from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
The gathering is open to the public and will feature remarks from Brown Medicine Endoscopy Center Medical Director Harlan Rich and East Providence Mayor Robert DaSilva. City councilors, medical staff, and members of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce and The Rotary Club of East Providence, RI/Seekonk, MA will also be in attendance.

The goal of the gathering is to raise awareness surrounding the importance of regular colon cancer screenings and prevention efforts.
