East Providence Compost Site Open For Isaias Debris On Saturday

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence residents cleaning up from Tropical Storm Isaias will be able to bring tree limbs, branches and other debris to the compost site on Forbes Street on Saturday.

The location will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thousands of Rhode Islanders were still without power Wednesday morning after Tropical StormIsaias barreled through the state Tuesday, downing power lines and trees. As of Wednesday morning, just over 77,000 National Grid customers remained in the dark, down from more than 111,000 Wednesday evening.
