On Sunday October 28, 2018, the East Providence Junior Townies (7-2) 12U Football Team led by Head Coach Scott Winter, defeated the Providence Patriots (6-3) by a score of 7-6 in the Blackstone Valley
Youth Football (AYF) Semifinal game held at Classical High School in Providence, RI. This was the second time in two weeks the two teams faced each other, and third time this season with the Junior Townies
winning the second and third match up. All 3 games were close nail biters.
The win gives the Junior Townies a trip to the BVYFC 12U Super Bowl, where they will face the Woonsocket Redskins (9-0), who defeated the Junior Townies 18-7 earlier in the season. The Super Bowl will be held on Sunday November 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM (EST) at Durfee High School (360 Elsbree St., Fall River, MA) - Gate Fee is $5.00 per person.
