East Providence Mayor Announces New Coronavirus Vaccination Site

The new vaccine clinic is scheduled to open the first week of April.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence Mayor Roberto DaSilva has announced that a new COVID-19 vaccination site will be opening in the city the first week of April, reported WPRI.

The new clinic will start as a regional point of distribution (POD) site and eventually move into a larger facility at the Shaw's plaza across from East Providence High School.

Those eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine currently include residents age 60 and older, those ages 16 to 64 with underlying health conditions, and anyone who was eligible during Phase 1 of Rhode Island's vaccine distribution.
