EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The City of East Providence canceled much of Winterfest 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Only the memorial trees will be displayed, the city announced, and the safety plan is being finalized.

Anyone who sponsored a tree last year will receive an email by Nov. 13 with more information. Call the recreation office at 401-435-7511 if you do not hear from them by then.

"Let's join together to create a beautiful display that the entire community can enjoy as we bring some joyful and much needed light to the Christmas Season!" the city said.
