East Providence Parkway Ramp Bridge To Be Demolished
East Providence traffic: There will be Interstate 195 closures for the demolition of the Parkway Ramp Bridge.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A portion of Interstate 195 in East Providence will be closed this week for the demolition of the Parkway Ramp Bridge. The closures will happen at night all week starting at midnight and continuing through 4 a.m.
This is the tentative closure schedule:
- Monday night/Tuesday morning (April 30-May 1): I-195 West
- Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (May 1-2): I-195 West
- Wednesday night/Thursday morning (May 2-3): I-195 East
The bridge replacement project started April 4 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
