EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The East Providence Splash Pad has opened to provide a safe place for kids to cool down during what could be the hottest week of the year.

The splash pad is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with an expansion of hours possible if more staff can be hired. The splash pad operates with enhanced safety precautions due to the coronavirus health crisis.

Those children not in the same group must stay at least 6 feet away from each other and the pad is limited to six children at one time. Those on the splash pad can play in 10-minute intervals before they must go back to the end of the line if they would like to reenter the pad.
