“The redesign of the East Providence property draws on inspiration from guests and Extended Stay America’s more than two decades of expertise in the extended stay category to offer some of the best new design features in the industry at an affordable price,” said Jim Alderman, Executive Vice President and Chief Asset Merchant, Extended Stay America. “Given the location and major corporations headquartered nearby, we’re excited to offer a significantly improved extended stay to both consumers and business travelers alike as part of the hotel makeover.”

The East Providence hotel redesign is an initial step toward ESA 2.0, Extended Stay America’s strategic five-year growth plan to build a better future. Keeping the evolving extended stay traveler in mind and staying uniquely focused on the mid-priced segment, those plans will expand and improve the brand’s more than 620 properties nationwide with renovations, new hotel development and franchising. The East Providence location marks the first hotel materially redesigned and incorporates some of the features from ESA 2.0 for an initial look at the renovation strategy. New portfolio-wide enhancements will implement smart storage solutions, make guest rooms a more comfortable and home-like experience and reimagine common areas to provide all of guests’ go-to amenities in one open space.
