Family Displaced Following Basement Fire At East Providence Home

The two residents and their pets were able to get out of the home safely.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A family has been displaced following a basement fire at their East Providence home Sunday evening, reported WPRI.

Firefighters responded to the home on Lantern Lane in Riverside at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The two residents of the home and their dog were able to escape the home safely and firefighters rescued two cats.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries have been reported.
